A seemingly simple short novel with a very profound effect. I'm not one to usually finish a book within the same day as buying it, but this story is one of those few exceptions. It's to the point and there's no dry parts, there's no listless conversations or scenes. There's just Camus and his translated words and strange, but wondrous philosophy. I found myself disagreeing and even disliking the character of Meursault through the first part of the book, but by the end of it I realized that in essence it's almost impossible to dislike him. He is everyone and no one and this book holds a value that every person should at some point understand. Robert Smith even wrote the perfect song for it back in the 80's, and you can't go wrong with The Cure. All in all I would suggest this book to everyone, it's truly one of those stories you must read before you die.
