A story always has different perspectives, but usually not from nonexistent ones. Susie Salmon is raped and murdered close to home by an unexpected neighbor, Mr. Harvey. This story unfolds like no other. If you are the type of person who really enjoys a book that is relating yet thrilling to your life, The Lovely Bones is for you. This book has helped me in ways I never saw coming. My grandmother passed and seeing this movie and reading the book made me realize that death isn't always a terrible thing. We all feel ripped up on the inside once we lose somebody close to our souls but just like always, we move on. Susie's family is currently trying to adjust to the hole they feel is in their hearts and lives but you don't always have to forget somebody to move on.
Making the commitment to continue this book was definitely the right thing to do. I find myself actually wanting to read, AT HOME. You live and love life so you're satisfied at the end of it, but to those who never get the graceful ending of dying in their sleep at the age of 90...their stories and lives are in a sense commemorated by this story. I'm excited to see how it ends and will be pursuing this book.
